UC Basketball to US Bank Arena?

I'M HEARING from big @uofcincy donors pushing 4 UC to play at renovated US Bank Arena. We know @CoachCroninUC likes it. @Enquirer @PrezOno

This would be a pretty good move. US Bank, 5/3 Arena, I personally don’t care where they play the games. I do think that the renovation of one of them is a must. 5/3 debuted with Bob Huggins. US Bank is also not the best arena in the world. One of them needs to be upgraded.

You want to get in a bigger conference? You have to play at nice arenas. That’s happening with football and the Nippert renovation. It needs to happen with basketball as well. We may love the former Shoe, but it’s time and place have come and gone. We need to turn those PF Flyers into adidas Rose 4.5s.

My biggest question is if the move to US Bank happens, where does the Shootout go? UC wants a neutral site. Maybe they play the game in the Freedom Center or at Union Terminal or on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Ohio River. I dunno, now I’m just crazily spitballing places to have the game so maybe that means it’s time to stop writing this article.
