Cliff Peale at the Enquirer has killed it today. First, he produced some of the emails from Cincinnati's push to join the ACC. That included Cincinnati asking Urban Meyer to make a pitch for them. Now he gives us an insight on what UC is doing next to potentially join the ACC.
That is renovating Nippert Stadium. Well, we all knew that was next. But we found out that Cincinnati is starting up private funding to raise $60-70 million dollars to do so. One of the key quotes was this from Dr Ono:
As for the Atlantic Coast Conference, which UC is looking to join: “I know what they were looking for from us. The things that we’re doing are aggressive addressing those concerns.”
The article goes on to say that Tommy Tuberville hasn't actually agreed to terms on his contract. He isn't expected to make more than Butch Jones. Tommy T really wanted to get the hell away from Texas Tech.
