UCF bulked up an already impressive line of future non-conference games by announcing a future home-and-home with Georgia Tech today.
The Yellow Jackets will visit Orlando in 2017, with the Knights returning the favor three years later in Atlanta.
UCF and Georgia Tech have met only three times on the football field — each meeting was played in Atlanta, and each ended with a Yellow Jackets win.
What’s intriguing about this future battle is that it could potentially be UCF head football coach George O’Leary’s fourth as a head coach in a UCF-Georgia Tech football game. Georgia Tech gave the 68-year-old his first FBS head coaching gig. O’Leary coached the Jackets from 1995-2001.
UCF already has future non-conference games scheduled at South Carolina, at Michigan, at Texas, and a home-and-home with Maryland.
If the future schedules stay according to plan, UCF’s 2017 non-conference slate will look something like this: at Texas, at Maryland, and Georgia Tech.
Ouch.
