The injury report is out for the UConn Huskies and if they are going to beat the Buffalo Bulls, they’re going to have to do it without the services of their top running back.
Jordan Todman, who injured his arm is out for Saturday’s game as is Scott Lutrus who still seems to be bothered by the probable stinger he suffered in the first game.
And according to John Silver of the Journal Inquirer, D.J. Shoemate will be the No. 1 running back with Meme Wylie as his backup. Robbie Frey will play primarily on special teams.
It will be interesting to see what Shoemate can do as the featured back. The Bulls haven’t allowed a 100 yard runner in their past seven games.
