While UConn Huskies head coach Randy Edsall won’t exactly praise his redshirt sophomore linebacker Sio Moore, he is earning it from other places and this one is national.
Moore was named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Friday night’s 16-13 overtime win over the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Moore had 17 tackles including 13 solo and three for a loss to go with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries .
The Huskies are off this week and return to action on Thursday, November 11th when they’ll host the Pittsburgh Panthers at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.
