With the NCAA investigation looming over them the past nine months or so, the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team has had a hard time landing a big recruit. But now, it looks as though that little rough patch is over for Jim Calhoun.
Point guard Ryan Boatright, who had orally committed to West Virgina and then decommitted after Jabarie Hinds chose WVU, has decided to play his college basketball in Storrs, CT. Boatright had also been considering UNLV and Oklahoma before deciding on the Huskies.
Boatright is ranked as the 76th best player by ESPN’s recruiting service and the 14th best point guard. Rivals.com has him as the 48th best player and 11th best point guard.
