UConn’s Blidi Wreh-Wilson Undergoes Surgery

During this week’s Big East football coaches teleconference, UConn Huskies head coach Randy Edsall announced that cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson underwent surgery today on his hand. Wreh-Wilson had injured his hand during Friday night’s loss to Rutgers but was able to play through it for the most part.

UConn Huskies footballAs per the usual, Edsall didn’t disclose the details of his surgery nor did he give a timetable for his return. No surprise there since we know how Edsall hasn’t talked about injuries all season long.

Also during the call, Edsall was happy to see the bye week for the Huskies as the injury list looked like a grocery list for a family of six. Okay so I made that last part up but he did say it was the longest he’d seen it since coming to Storrs.

You can listen to what Edsall had to say below:

And if you’re curious as to what the other Big East coaches had to say, head over to the Big East site and listen to the coaches teleconference.

Once the injury list for Monday is posted, I will post UConn’s below here.
