UFC 114: Rampage vs Evans DVD Review

Music_City_Bowl

By all accounts, May’s UFC 114 event went down a smashing success (unless, of course, you are a Rampage Jackson fan). After a long wait, fans finally got to see two of the sport’s fiercest rivals go head-to-head in the main event, as Rashad ‘Suga’ Evans went up against movie star Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. Additionally, the man everyone loves to hate, brash Brit Michael Bisping, squared off against the very tough Dan Miller. And Little Nog, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, got a very tough test from a last minute replacement, Jason Brilz. And, more importantly to the UFC brass, the event became one of their top sellers this year, garnering over one million pay-per-view buys. Now the company is set to rake in some more dough from it with the release of the ultimate two-disc DVD edition of UFC 114: Rampage vs Evans.

Now, I know what you are thinking (Big Brother is always watching) – “I already watched UFC 114 on PPV, so why do I need to buy the DVD version of it? Very good question, my wise reader. If simply having a historic grudge match in your DVD collection isn’t enough of a reason for you, this release also offers plenty of bang for the buck. Running over five hours long, the DVD includes all of the 11 bouts from the night, including two previously unaired matchups (Jesse Forbes vs Ryan Jensen and Aaron Riley vs Joe Brammer). It also features the complete episode of Countdown to UFC 114, which features plenty of entertaining trash talk between Suga and Rampage; the weigh-ins for the event, behind the scenes footage and a featurette from UFC.com.

If you are a Rampage or Rashad fan (or MMA fan, for that matter), you should have this DVD in your collection. And you can grab your copy here:
