Strength of Card:
Excitement Level: Medium. The main event should be action-packed, with two of the greatest and most unique strikers the sport as ever seen. But outside of Jon Jones vs Lyoto Machida, the rest of the card is rather ho-hum (unless you’re into washed up fighters).
Who Should Buy This PPV?: Hardcore Fans. Everyone else will probably save their money for Lesnar-Reem at the end of the month. Or spend their money on lavish gifts for their favourite MMA writer, Jeff Fox.
Projected PPV Buyrate: 350,000
Fight of the Night: Jon Jones vs Lyoto Machida. Machida might not be the best fighter young Bones has faced, but he might be the most difficult. This matchup should produce some fireworks.
Best Fight on the Undercard: Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Igor Pokrajac. Dropping bombs on your moms.
Best Bet (if you are betting man/woman): Lyoto Machida (+375). Do I think that Machida will beat Jones? No, but he’s such a dangerous striker and so unique an opponent that he’s got a puncher’s chance.
Win or Go Home: Tito Ortiz & Antônio Rogério Nogueira. And since they are fighting one another, this should be a “Loser Leave Town” match.
