Strength of Card:
Excitement Level: High. Brock Lesnar vs Alistair Overeem is an even more anticipated heavyweight tilt than dos Santos-Velasquez was.
Who Should Buy This PPV?: Hardcore & casual fans. Everyone likes to see the big guys throw it down, and they come no bigger (literally and figuratively) than Lesnar and Overeem.
Projected PPV Buyrate: 500,000
Fight of the Night: Nate Diaz vs Donald Cerrone. Cerrone is always a safe bet to be involved in a Fight of the Night worthy bout, and Nate Diaz is stubborn (dumb?) enough to decide to get into a fire fight on his feet with The Cowboy.
Best Fight on the Undercard: Ross Pearson vs Junior Assuncao
Best Bet (if you are betting man/woman): Vladimir Matyushenko (+280). Yes, The Janitor’s opponent Alexander Gustafsson has been almost unstoppable since he’s entered the UFC, but Matyushenko hasn’t been too shabby himself – his only Octagon loss was to Jon Jones, and his only other loss in the past five yearswas to Little Nog.
Win or Go Home: Manny Gamburyan. Three losses in a row is never a good thing for job security.
