UFC: Fight for the Troops 3 Fighter Salaries

Last night’s UFC: Fight for the Troops 3 was considered a “homecoming” for U.S. Army staff sergeant Tim Kennedy, and he didn’t disappoint his home crowd.  Kennedy KO’d Rafael Natal, and also earned the biggest payday.

Before we go any further, we should note that Kentucky doesn’t release fighter pay info, so none of the following salary data for the event is official.  However, you can get a fairly accurate picture of a fighter’s pay based on official purse info released from past fights.  So, based on that info, here is the estimated pay breakdown for the 26 fighters that traded blows at the event (but please remember – this is only an estimate, not official info, especially for any fighters that made their UFC debuts at the event ).


Tim Kennedy: $140,000 ($60,000 to show, $30,000 win bonus, $50,000 Knockout of the Night bonus)

Jorge Masvidal: $89,000 ($39,000 to show, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus)

Michael Chiesa: $80,000 ($15,000 to show, $15,000 win bonus, $50,000 Submission of the Night bonus)

Rustam Khabilov: $74,000 ($12,000 to show, $12,000 win bonus, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus)

Lorenz Larkin: $46,000 ($23,000 to show, $23,000 win bonus)

Dennis Bermudez: $36,000 ($18,000 to show, $18,000 win bonus)

Derek Brunson: $34,000 ($17,000 to show, $17,000 win bonus)

Seth Baczynski: $32,000 ($16,000 to show, $16,000 win bonus)

Bobby Green: $28,000 ($14,000 to show, $14,000 win bonus)
