Uninspired and Unimpressive

The Celtics treated us to yet another uninspired and unimpressive performance. Fortunately, they still managed to beat the lowly Wizards, 99-88.

The big story in the game – Paul Pierce's left foot. Pierce injured the foot during a loose ball scrum with Caron Butler in the 2nd quarter (photo). He returned after the half and played 10 minutes in the 3rd quarter, but did not make an appearance in the 4th.

Tony Allen played another solid game – 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Ray Allen bounced back with 17 points on 6-13 FG. KG finished with 19 points on 8-9 FG. Rajon Rondo had 17 points, 12 assists and 6 TOs. Sheed chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds.

Don't let the final score fool you,. This was a two point game (BOS 84-82) with 5 minutes left. Thanks to a bit of defense and some bad Wizards TOs, the Celtics closed the game on a 15-6 run.

I expected more tonight, especially coming off that bitter loss to the Lakers. I expected the Celtlics to be out for blood tonight, instead we witnessed the same ho-hum BS.
