Here's what the Indy Star has to say about the Daniels sign-and-trade:
There's been little progress made between the Pacers and Celtics on a possible sign-and-trade deal for Marquis Daniels.
The Pacers aren't interested in guard Tony Allen, who the Celtics are willing to move.
The Pacers don't want TA – I can't imagine why. And Steve Kyler of HoopsWorld has this on Glen Davis:
It seemed like Glen "Big Baby" Davis
was headed towards a deal with the New Jersey Nets either as a free
agent signing or in a sign and trade deal and now things have gone
quiet.
Sources close to the situation say the Celtics are not close to matching an offer for Big Baby; it's all about the dollars. A deal in the $3 to $4 million range is likely getting matched according to Celtic sources, a deal north of $5 million may not. The Celtics are rumored to have a four-year, $10 million offer on the table.
Four years and $10 million? That's the first time I've heard that one. Then again, this has dragged on for so long, I can't remember much.
