UW adds 2nd OL to 2015 class

After a few months without any commitments, Wisconsin’s back on a bit of a hot streak in the 2015 class. On Wednesday afternoon our partners at Badger247 reported that 3-star offensive tackle David Moorman committed to the Badgers.

He joins 4-star tackle Jon Dietzen as offensive line commits in this class.

Moorman is a 6’5″, 275-pound lineman out of Pinckney, MI. He chose Wisconsin over offers from Cincinnati, Minnesota, and Illinois among others.

With Moorman in the fold, Wisconsin moved up to No. 35 in the 247Sports team rankings and took over the sixth spot in the Big Ten rankings as well.

Moorman may not have the pedigree or offer list of some other O-Lineman, but Wisconsin has been moving him steadily up their board since early this year.

It was a fast courting between the program and Moorman, with an offer extended just a few weeks ago.

Watching Moorman’s tape, it’s easy to see why Woods and the Badgers would be so high on him. He adds a great deal of athleticism and an ability to grow in to his frame. At the next level one could see him sliding inside pretty easily or moving to right tackle.

As for the rest of the board, Wisconsin is likely halfway to its total on the offensive line. Expect UW to take two or three more amongst the group of offers out there in the class.
