V-Mart, Lowell, Dice-K, Lester and Buchholz

Many on the Red Sox have arrived in Fort Myers and there are plenty of updates:

Victor Martinez says he wants to play on the Red Sox for a long time and Theo is happy to hear it:

“It’s always nice when players want to be here,” he said. “We’ve got talented guys on the this team that we’d like to keep around. We’ll see what happens.”

Theo also said that Mike Lowell may see some time at first base:

“We’re going to prepare for him to be an important part of this team,” Epstein said. “Getting exposure at first base makes sense. We’ll sit down and talk to him about that.”

Dice-K arrived early to camp in the best shape of his life. Things are looking good for the 2010 season, and to show that baseball is just around the corner; here is a video of Buchholz and Lester working out:
