Valentine and Crawford Finally Connect

Carl Crawford has broken radio silence and has spoken with Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine. 

We finally got that call into Carl,” Valentine said. “Carl sounded great. [The conversation], yeah, it was long. [General manager] Ben [Cherington] was on the line and [Crawford’s] agent and Carl, so we talked a long time. It went well.”

Seems like a little bit of overkill to have the GM and agent also on the call but if that is what it took to make it happen, so be it.   Crawford’s rebound year has to start somewhere so lets mark this moment as a starting point.
