Let’s give you some various programming notes from two Fox Sports Net affiliates. If you live in Florida or Ohio or even nationally and watch them through DirecTV or Dish Network, this may be of interest.
First, Fox Sports Florida will air a behind-the-scenes look regarding its production of Florida Panthers games. I’ll certainly be interested in this.
Debuting January 5 at 10pm after the Panthers-Maple Leafs game, “Inside The Panthers: Gameday On the Air” will focus on the FOX Sports Florida production of the Florida Panthers game for a typical home game telecast. We will follow our crews, technicians and announcers as they prepare and execute the telecast of the Panthers game from start to finish. Beginning with the arrival of the television production truck on site, the buildup of equipment, pre-production and the telecast itself.

Work for the producers and announcers begins at the traditional morning skate, where interviews and information are gathered for use in the “Panthers Live” pregame show and the game telecast. The day continues with setup and testing of video and audio gear, plus pre-production and video editing. This half-hour show will take the viewer through the entire day as the Panthers and FOX Sports Florida combine to provide a top-notch presentation of NHL hockey.
Among those interviewed in the show are FOX Sports Florida’s producer Mitch Rubenstein, pregame producer John Sulser, announcers Steve Goldstein, Bill Lindsay, Craig Minervini, Frank Forte and Allison Williams, along with various members of the TV production crew.
“Inside The Panthers: Gameday On The Air” is hosted by Frank Forte and produced by Kristen Hewitt.
