Our heart and prayers go out to the family and friends of Kenny McKinley tonight. He was a former Gamecocks Football star and current wide receiver / return specialist for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. According to reports, he was found dead from an apparent suicide. This is tragic news and a shock to many. A fine young man that is gone too soon. He recently attended the UGA v USC game on Sept. 11th and was seen with that smile that he always seemed to wear. I hope peace finds his soul and comfort comes to his family/friends.
He was always a favorite of this Gamecocks blog and we will always consider him one of the best Gamecocks to ever wear the Garnet and Black. R.I.P. #11
