VIDEO- 2010 Panthers game shows the biggest difference from 2010 to 2011

This video is taken from the 4 touchdowns the Bucs scored against the Panthers at home last year. You may notice the video is very unfamiliar, thats because three of the four scores dont happen anymore. Check it out first, then we will analyze.

1- Playaction fake TD pass to Arrelious Benn.
Whats Missing? The Play action pass, and Benn. The 2nd year WR is having his own Sophomore slump with dropped balls, and his recovery from injury last year. But the playaction fake was supposed to be the mainstay of this offense. Blount is running good, so where is the fake? Have you even seen this play called this year? Note: This is NOT a WR screen.

2- LeGarrette Blount touchdown.
Whats missing? Nothing. Blount runs fine, when  his number is called.

3- TD pass to Kellen Winslow Jr.
Whats missing? Kellen Winslow Jr.  He’s lucky to get 50 yards a game, and even in his highest yardage total ever in his career against Green Bay, he didnt score a TD. Here he is actually double covered, which may be why Josh Freeman has such faith in him. It’s a faith misplaced this season however.

4- Cadillac Williams breaks a TD.
Whats missing? Cadillac Williams, and or any running back of similar stature. We have no one. Kregg Lumpkin was grossly overvalued, and Earnest Graham is on injured reserve. The Bucs clearly need a breakaway running back to spell Blount and counter his strength with speed. Blount could even line up as Fullback enabling both to be on the field at the same time.

Hmmm, where have we seen that before?

The truth is, this 2011 Bucs team is not the same as last year’s squad. I would not be surprised to see a winning team in 2012, because to me what ever it is that caused the Bucs to falter in 1998, 1980, 2003, you have the same thing here in these Bucs that are about to take on Carolina again.
