Vladimir Tarasenko was in a miniature scoring slump heading into tonight’s game against the Penguins. The “slump” was that he had not scored in five games which was the longest goalless stretch for him so far in 2015-16.
Against the Penguins, Tarasenko reminded a national audience of the talent he possesses.
That’s an outstanding goal. What’s noteworthy here, besides the fact it was awesome, is that this style of goal wouldn’t have been scored by Tarasenko even a year ago. This season, Tarasenko’s strength has been put on display and he’s made similar moves multiple times. It goes to show you that his summer workout has really paid off.
