10/26/15 Practice Notes:
- Rajon Rondo can easily be misunderstood but one thing is for certain — nobody can question his worth ethic and leadership. These are some of the characteristics that have made him a successful NBA player.
- My biggest takeaway from training camp and preseason is his confidence on taking the open jump shot that opponents give him. It looks very fluid and he seems to look for it a little bit more because in today’s NBA, making shots is a must even for a great distributer like Rondo. It will only make him more lethal and space out the floor to drop twice as many dimes on any given night.
- Head coach George Karl believes he can shoot 33-35 percent from beyond the arc and if that happens, the Kings will have no problem making the playoffs because this team will look to shoot many 3-pointers. And if Rondo shoots that well, which would be a career-high (he did shoot 35.2 percent in 46 games with the Mavericks during the regular season), there is no reason not to believe this deep roster can make a push for the playoffs.
