Taking a puck to the face is never fun. So when it happened to the Blue Jacket’s leading goal scorer Boone Jenner, all of Columbus may have collectively held its breath.
Jenner is a tough customer and was able to skate off under his own power. The amount of blood that he left on the ice and on his jersey was more than a little disconcerting. Jenner returned late in the second period with a full mask on, hockey players, eh?
