VIDEO: Captain Clutch Takes Command of Game 2

During his 14 year career as a Boston Celtic, Paul Pierce has given us lucky Celtics fans quite a selection of memorable performances to live through (and re-live through).  Last night against the Atlanta Hawks was another one that can be classified as one for the ages.  Given the circumstances of the situation with the Celtics trailing the series 0-1, with Game 2 on the road, without Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen, Pierce did what he had to do and the Hawks couldn't handle The Truth.

Pierce played 44 minutes (entire second half) and finished with 36 points (12-26 FG, 1-5 3FG, 11-13 FT), 14 rebounds, 4 assists and (oops) 8 turnovers.  He also checked Joe Johnson most of the night and just when he should have been gassed throughout the fourth, he only got stronger by sealing the game with a two-handed slam and a dagger of a three that would have even offed Dracula.  Sit back and enjoy Pierce's masterpiece of a performance and remind yourself how lucky you are to have him representing Celtic green.
