San Antonio Spurs great David Robinson retired from the NBA a champion as the Spurs won the 2003 NBA title. A fitting end of a stellar career for such a great person.
That same year, Robinson and Tim Duncan were named the Sports Illustrated co-Sportsmen of the Year. It was just another example of how much these two players meant to each other on the court and for the franchise.
Recently, Robinson spoke about his final season with the Spurs and in true form, gave much thanks to Duncan and even said Tim is the best thing ever to happen to the franchise. And though some may think otherwise, there was no doubt when they were on the court, they were one of the most feared duos ever in the NBA.
Check out this video where Robinson talks about his final season, Duncan, life and more. It is sure to make Spurs fans reminisce and wish Robinson was still on the court.
