For the first time since being added to the Western Conference All-Star Team last Friday, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins spoke to the local media in Sacramento.  The 24-year-old big man was all smiles as he fielded questions ranging from how he found out the news, to his reaction to how he is going to greet NBA Commissioner Adam Silver at Tuesday night’s game in Sacramento.

Cousins also answered a few questions about the five-year anniversary of writer Clay Travis’ guarantee that has made its way into the news over the last few days.  On January 30, 2010, Travis tweeted that, “There is a 100% chance that DeMarcus Cousins is arrested for something in the next five years.  100%.  Write it in stone.”

Travis isn’t the first person to make assumptions about Cousins and there is a good chance that he won’t be the last.

“What can I really do for him saying that?” Cousins said.  “You know, I’m not going to go beat him up. I’d be in prison.”

The Kings will be back in action on Tuesday night, taking on the high flying Golden State Warriors on their home floor. Expect a tremendous ovation from the Sleep Train Arena crowd for both Cousins and Commissioner Silver.
