Tampa Bay Lightning star prospect Jonathan Drouin scored his first professional goal tonight for the Syracuse Crunch. Drouin is on a conditioning assignment with Syracuse as he’s recovering from a broken right thumb that he sustained in mid-September.
Drouin comes down the wing with speed and gets off a wicked wrister.
Drouin, 19, was drafted third overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and posted 108 points in 46 games with the QMJHL’s Halifax Mooseheads last season.

Game quotes:
Jonathan Marchessault on Drouin: “There’s no wonder he’s the third (pick) overall. Everything I heard was exactly what I saw, It was amazing.”
Jonathan Drouin: “The point of coming here is getting my timing and speed. It went pretty well. The future is looking really good with the Lightning.”
