LAS VEGAS – Perhaps the player most affected by the addition of Aaron Brooks is Jimmer Fredette. The Sacramento Kings second-year guard took a bevy of questions about what Brooks’ acquisition might mean for him following today’s game.
Highlights:
- Jimmer played aggressively and dropped 30 points on the Houston Rockets today. He says that the acquisition of Brooks added no motivation to his effort. “Like I said no, just normal,” said Fredette. “You just go out there and play. You just go out there and play, try and be aggressive. Coach just said just to be aggressive today.”
- Jimmer says he wasn’t aware of Brooks’ contract agreement until minutes before they took the court. “You don’t hear about any of the trades or acquirings until they happen,” said Fredette. “So every one of them’s a surprise. You never know what’s going to happen. It is what it is like (he) said.”
- He was also asked if he would look for answers behind what his role will be moving forward. “I’m sure they’ll tell me at some point,” Fredette told reporters. “So we’ll cross it when it comes. Not too worried about it right now, just worried about getting better.”
