We’ve seen it countless times. After a huge dunk or a jaw-dropping crossover by a player, his teammates go wild on the sidelines.
San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker had one such crossover on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, and while I’m sure his teammates enjoyed it, someone on the Lakers bench admired it as well.
After Parker crossed up Lakers guard Ramon Sessions to get to the basket for a layup, Lakers big man Jordan Hill started clapping on the sidelines and then stopped awkwardly after realizing what he was doing.
This may not be the exact equivalent of Scottie Pippen clapping on the bench when Allen Iverson got passed Michael Jordan with a crossover, but it still looks bad. The question is if Lakers fans will give Hill a pass since he is still adjusting to his new surroundings in Hollywood.
