Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that Dylan McIlrath (2010 – 1st) will most likely be suspended for the second time this season after a blow to the head of Victoria player Jesse Zgraggen during Moose Jaw’s 3-1 win last night…

Rubenstein adds that with the way the WHL has been handing out discipline, as a second offender, McIlrath is most likely looking at somewhere between 5 and 10 games.
…hate to see this from McIlrath, who despite his physical nature doesn’t strike me as a dirty player. He could have really hurt Zgraggen and deserves a double digit suspension for sure.
…hope this will be an eye-opener for McIlrath. He needs to learn where the line is and not step over it or it will be impossible for him to find regular ice time at the NHL level.
