As the NBA lockout marches on, it does allow time to look at some of the players the San Antonio Spurs have stashed away overseas.
With that being said, let’s take a look at Spurs 2009 draft pick Nando de Colo’s highlights from his play with the French national team at the 2011 Eurobasket this summer in Lithuania.
From these highlights, the 6’5″ guard showed great floor vision, ability to dribble and finish with either hand, hustle, ability to find the open player, a nice shooting touch and much more. For the tournament he averaged 6.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in France’s march to the silver medal.
Currently he is playing with Spanish team Valencia and is averaging 9.4 points, 1.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds, shooting 48% in 20.2 minutes.
And although those numbers may not grab you, he still shows he might be a solid player coming off the bench for San Antonio.
