(Video) Ndamukong Suh Has His Way With The Redskins And Calvin Johnson Has 3 Touchdowns In Lions Win

If the Lions played the Redskins all the time at Ford Field, the Lions would be Super Bowl Champs! Two of Detroit’s five wins over the past three seasons have come against the ‘skins and I can’t contain my giddiness — I’m giving the neighborhood children extra candy this Halloween!

Anyway, as you all know, the Lions won 37-25, thanks in large part to three Leos — Calvin Johnson, Ndamukong Suh and Matthew Stafford.

Ndamukong Suh is already one of the better defensive linemen in the NFL and he’s just 7 games into his career. Thus far, he has 22 tackles, 6.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery, which he returned for a touchdown today. He should be a lock for defensive rookie of the year, and could very well be a rookie Pro-Bowler if he keeps playing this well. 6.5 sacks is a pretty good season for a DT, and he has that before the halfway mark. What’s Halloween scary is that he’s only going to improve …

Sit back and watch his domination of the Redskins today:

WR Calvin Johnson nabbed three touchdowns today and, with 8 touchdowns on the season now, it looks like he’ll definitely surpass his previous career high of 12 touchdowns (2008). Calvin absolutely torched the Redskins secondary today, and what’s more impressive is that he could’ve had five touchdowns had a rusty Stafford not underthrown him on two particular throws.

Here are Calvin’s three scores, including the game winner on 4th and 1. So clutch:

Did I say “a rusty [Matthew] Stafford”? Well, yeah, I did, but his stats don’t indicate that he was rusty whatsoever. He completed 58% of his passes (and there were a few drops), threw for over 200 yards (would’ve been more if two big plays to Calvin weren’t called back due to holding penalties) and threw four touchdowns, opposite one interception (which was not too far from being a touchdown grab by Calvin). Stafford looked a little uneasy in the pocket at times, rushed a couple throws, most likely out of fear of getting hit hard again, and underthrew Calvin a couple times, but overall if 32 fantasy points at our QB spot is “rusty” then I like ’em “rusty.”

I already can’t wait until next week when Stafford shows the world how superior he is to Mark Sanchez…
