Video: NHL.com analyzes the Blues for 2015-16

The 2015-16 season is quickly approaching and that means it’s time for the various media outlets to analyze the Blues and predict what will happen in the year ahead. NHL.com is running a video series for all 30 teams and here’s a look at what they said about the Blues.

The “big question” for NHL.com is whether or not Jake Allen will take the next step and be the top goaltender for the Blues. While that will be an interesting story to follow, it’s hardly the question to follow for the Blues. The Blues should feel comfortable knowing that if Allen does struggle, they still have a competent, strong option in Brian Elliott.

The biggest question – in my opinion – is how will the Blues look compared to last season after a summer which saw the team make a couple noteworthy changes? How will the defense look without Barret Jackman? How will the front line look with Troy Brouwer and without T.J. Oshie? NHL.com hit on these topics, but these are way more critical than the goaltending. The Blues should know what they have in Elliott and Allen.
