On Monday night, in a Big East conference showdown, the no. 6 Villanova Wildcats were taking on the Seton Hall Pirates, who are on the postseason bubble and going through internal issues within the program.
With Villanova having a commanding 71-45 lead with 4:38 left in the game, Seton Hall guard Sterling Gibbs delivered a vicious forearm to the head of Villanova guard Ryan Arcidiacono. At first glance, the play looks dirty and malicious. Gibbs was automatically given a flagrant two and ejected from the game as Villanova went on to win 80-54.

After the game, Gibbs went on Twitter and apologized for his actions and to Arcidiacono.
