Video: UConn’s Shirreffs Not The Only FBS QB in the Family

When you take a look at the Miami Hurricanes roster, you might see a familiar last name in QB Evan Shirreffs. Yes, he is the younger brother of Bryant Shirreffs, the likely starter for the UConn football team to start the 2015 season.

The younger Shirreffs was the backup to his older brother at Jefferson High School in Jefferson, GA. And then he took over when Bryant headed to NC State.

Now, he finds himself at The U trying to become a starting QB like his brother Bryant.

Since the elder Shirreffs has been through the transition before, he’s offered up some words of advice to his brother as to what to expect as well as how close they are.
