With WrestleMania 29 around the corner, it's pretty safe to say that I'll be consuming more wrestling video this week than I have in the past year. Add to that it is also the first week of the baseball season and we've got a while different problem.
Solution! A marriage of the two.
It's no secret, that the connection between baseball and professional wrestling is a storied one (I'll let you make the steroids jokes), so imagine the excitement of seeing a host of WWE Superstars taking the field in Chicago to play 16-inch softball.
Some highlights:
- Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz (naturally)
- A totally 90s, grunged-out Shawn Michaels flipping the double bird
- 6'10 Kevin Nash, "Big Daddy Cool" himself, rocking the ultimate in uncool…sandals with socks and two, count 'em TWO fanny packs
- And, of course, former minor leaguer Randy "The Macho Man" Savage going yard. Ooooh yeah!
Below is the minute long, WWE cut down of the 1994 charity event. Click HERE to see a longer, spectacular video full of more hair and ill-fitting shorts than you can shake a Slim Jim at.
