The Celtics used 13 blocked shots to propel them to a 100-95 win over the Utah Jazz last night. As mentioned in my recap, it’s the most blocks the C’s have had as a team in one game since 2009. The biggest of them coming from Avery Bradley who swatted Gordon Hayward’s last minute attempt at stealing a win.
Scroll down for all the defensive highlights, as well as vid of Jae Crowder’s 22 point night and Jordan Mickey making the most of his time on the floor. Thanks as always to the great TK for the clips.
Then, check out what’s easily the biggest bonehead play in high school sports that I can remember in a long time. With about 4 seconds left in the Rhode Island Division III state championship, a player from Burrillville tosses the ball in the air thinking it’s over. Little does he know, an alert player on the Chariho squad grabs the ball & gets a timeout with 1 second left. The Chariho coach draws up a beaut, and his team executes to perfection, clinching a state title. It just goes to show you, it ain’t over until it’s over baby. God I’d hate to be that kid-especially nowadays with social media. Anyway enjoy folks:
