Videos of the Day: Celts beat Heat, Curry’s not human

As John touched on in this morning’s Dump, Steph Curry found a new way to absolutely blow hoops fans’ minds last night. His latest feat? Oh just burying a 32 foot shot in OT to down his opponent. We’ll get back to him in a moment. But first off let’s talk about our Celtics.

Boston got 15 points, 6 rebounds & 3 assists from Marcus Smart to help them beat Miami 101-89 on Saturday. Evan Turner, who was huge on a day where Boston’s starters struggled, had 15 points of his own & dished out 9 dimes. The Celts are now 35-25 and have won 10 straight at home.

Now about that Curry guy-what a performance from Steph last night. The reigning MVP tallied 46 points and went 12 of 16 from beyond the arc. That tied the NBA record for most treys in a game. He also bested his own record of threes in a season,(286) and he hit his 288th with 0.06 left which made Mike Breen cream his pants and gave GSW a 121-118 victory over the Thunder.

I grew up watching some of the best shooters that ever took the floor. Guys like Bird, Petrovic, Miller, Allen etc. Well what a pleasure it’s been to see Curry emerge as the most electrifying & cold-blooded shooter to come along in some time. And the scary thing is, he’s still getting better.

Enjoy video from Curry’s big night below, as well highlights from Smart & ET.
