Sorry-I couldn’t resist the chance to use a “cools down Heat” pun. And that’s just what Avery Bradley and the rest of the Celtics did last night in Miami. Bradley’s sweet rejection of Dwyane Wade’s turnaround jumper with a minute left sealed Boston’s 105-95 win.
Bradley put in 25 points on the offensive end, but the story last night was Boston’s defense. It’s what this squad hangs their hats on, and when they play well on defense, they can compete with anyone. The C’s had 15 steals last night, and held Miami to 1 of 7 shooting from downtown when they tried to bomb their way back into it in the final quarter. What’s even more impressive is that the Celtics did this without defensive dynamo Marcus Smart.
