Vladimir Tarasenko has been invited to Russia's Olympic camp in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The Russian Hockey Federation invited 35 players to participate in Russia's camp scheduled to take place on August 23rd and August 24th.
Will Tarasenko make the final cut? That's difficult to forecast as injuries during the first portion of the 2013-14 NHL season may play a role in the decision. However, if everyone is healthy, Tarasenko may have a tough time cracking Russia's roster given the wealth of talent invited to camp.
Tarasenko will be competing with the large group of forwards below for a spot in Russia's offense. Thanks to Blue Jackets Extra for the list.
