Vote: Who Do You Want In STL Cardinals Hall of Fame Class of ’16?

The nominees for the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Class of 2016 are:

• Christopher Carpenter
• Keith Hernandez
• Jason Isringhausen
• Mark McGwire
• Matthew Morris
• Edgar Renteria
• Scott Rolen
• Joe Torre

In total 4 men will be inducted into the HOF for 2016.

Here’s how the voting process works:

1) 2 of the 8 from the list above will be voted on by the fans in an open vote. The voting period starts in MAR and will last about 6 weeks.

2) The 3rd member will be selected from the list above by the Cardinals ownership group. This is basically a safety net in case fans of the Yankees or Mets flood the ballot box on behalf of Joe Torre/Keith Hernandez and they both end up winning. (And yes, I know how good they both were for the Cardinals. Yet the majority of baseball fans identify them with the NYC teams…)

3) A 4th member will be selected from a group of players that were active 40 years ago or more. You might know this person. You probably never saw him play.
