Walter Offutt to transfer

Eleven Warriors is reporting that Sophomore Guard Walter Offutt has decided to transfer based on the lack of available playing time. This solves the problem the Ohio State program was facing after recruiting a top 3 recruiting class with 6 players, one more than we had available scholarships for. Original thoughts had Evan Turner or David Lighty leaving early to make room, but now Offutt has opened up enough space that both could stay for another season.

It’s too bad that Offutt felt the need to leave, but with the serious lack of playing time he was getting, he has probably made the right decision. Walter has yet to decide what program he wishes to transfer to but will probably decide soon.
