Hurray! It’s everyone’s favorite day of the week as Purple Jesus Diaries brings you another ROUSING edition of WARCRAFT WEDNESDAYS!!!!! (Imagine fire, metal music, unicorns, and Kate Upton’s boobs exploding out from your computer screen right there as you read that. It helps.)
Anyway, this week we’re offering you a video dump of a bunch of random video and audio clips that we found that have to do with everyone’s favorite Minnesota Vikings punter, Chris Kluwe. We start off by playing Chris Kluwe’s radio announcement where he offers his support to vote against the marriage amendment … Or … Vote in support of gays marrying … Or something. I don’t give a shit about politics because I’m a horrible person, but essentially he says ALL people should be able to marry, and will actively support that. ASIDE FROM BEING A DIRTY LIBERAL HIPPY, it’s kind of neat to see an NFL-er stand out so dramatically from the rest of his peers in support of a controversial topic. Can you think of anyone other player who is in support of gay marriage right now? I can’t off hand, but I’m pretty sure there’s a bunch who think gays are worse than the Devil getting Purple Jesus in trouble. And frankly, nothing is worse than that.

Here’s one that Fox 9 did with Chris Kluwe and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison back in May when the new Vikings stadium was approved. Kluwe of course has to get a couple of smart ass comments in about busting the glass on the mega-screen at Jerry’s World (which I totally approve of), and even Brian Robison jumps in on the action, acknowledging that 90% of the current Vikings players won’t even get to play in the new stadium. You know who will? Kluwe. He’s totally going to be an awesome 41 year old punter, you can just tell.
Also, celebration dancing. It’s no Ponder Gun Fingaz, but it’ll do. It’ll do. Maybe someone can make a GIF of this for us too?
Finally, we present an interview with Mr. Warcraft himself from some guy called Tom “Drummer Guy” Cook that was completed after a Tripping Icarus show at the 7th Street Entry. The interview (and show, for that matter) looks like it was all the way back in 2010, but whatever. I’ve constantly seen screen caps from this interview online and have not for the life of me been able to figure out when, where, and why Kluwe had a face shot where he looked so disheveled and sweaty. I get it now! Slappin da bass! That’ll happen. Also, you’re treated to fine views of the bathroom, discussions of what Kluwe did in his bedroom last night, and a Transformers shirt. Classic.
