For most of the season’s first two months of the season, the Golden State Warriors were below .500 on the road. The Warriors will try end their six-game road-trip with four wins. They will face the Boston Celtics tonight after coming off a thriller win against the Indiana Pacers, where Thompson scored 16 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and hit a game-winning turnaround jumper with 0.6 seconds left on the clock.

The Pacers had one of the league’s top home records at 29-3. Golden State also won versus the Miami Heat, currently 24-4 at home, earlier in the season in South Beach. The Warriors are the only Western Conference team to have beaten the Heat and Pacers in away games.

Last night, Curry had 19 points, but was just 7-for-18 from the field. In the fourth quarter, he was scoreless, while fellow “Splash Brother” Thompson scored 14 points.

The Warriors haven’t had much success against Boston, though. They have lost eight of the last nine games at the TD Garden. Their last win in Boston came in Decemeber 20, 2006.

The last time the Warriors played the Celtics was on January 10, 2014, in Oakland. Curry hit a jumper with 4 seconds left on the clock to win the game. Shortly thereafter, Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks were traded from the Celtics to the Warriors, with Toney Douglas ending up in Miami in the three-way deal.

Rondo didn’t participate in that game, as he was still recovering from a torn ACL. It wasn’t too long ago when Rondo was sitting near the top of the NBA with a deep-playoff-contending team. Now, the tables are turned and it’s Curry taking the league by storm with Rondo on the outside looking in.

Meanwhile, Boston committed 17 turnovers that game. Avery Bradley and Crawford were 6-for-25 from the floor, combined.

The Celtics have lost six of seven games following Saturday’s 102-97 home loss to Indiana. Jared Sullinger had 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Gerald Wallace will not play for the remainder of the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and ankle on Tuesday.
