warriors game day: sights & sounds vs 76ers (Photo: LetsGoWarriors.com Instagram account)
ORACLE ARENA, OAKLAND, CA — Marreese Speights overshadowed another strong performance, save for at least four turnovers of the “careless” variety, by Stephen Curry. The metaphor of lighting up the scoreboard would be apropos if not for the fact that the Jumbotron operator had mistakenly locked in Klay Thompson‘s stats for a good duration of the 4th quarter.
[Check out our Recap Round-Up and Top 10 Speights Hashtags!]Here are some sights and sounds from the historic night, which was, ironically, also Wilt Chamberlain bobblehead night:
#Warriors tied their largest margin of victory, 43. Last time? Wilt had 55 in Philadelphia's 151-108 win over Syracuse, 11/9/61. #bobblehead

PRE-GAME
Hate to bring it up again, but lost in all the drama: Bogut got an MRI on the shoulder bone bruise and it showed no structural damage.

Klay Thompson splashing at shootaround. Shortly thereafter, Andre Iguodala at pregame shootaround. Bogut is usually out at the same time, but did not play due to continued stiffness in his shoulder, which he termed as a “bone bruise” suffered in the win at Utah.
When asked if Philadelphia 76ers rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams has hit the proverbial “rookie wall”, Mark Jackson said he himself never did, being from NY and playing year-round. #76ers coach Brett Brown talks about Michael Carter-Williams and how he takes on the world when he gets frustrated.

POST-GAME
Jackson on Speights: “He deserves this night” because of the time and hard work he’s put in. Jackson said Bogut, D.Lee and Curry played joke on reserve center Ognjen Kuzmic, telling him he’d been called to sub in; Coach then said he “adjusted” and let the big man play.
Speights on the MVP chants: “It was so funny, I started laughing,” and how he’s been working hard lately. Also, the calm, Brad Pitt-like “Good question, I’ll have to get back to you on that” response by Curry when asked why the #Warriors didn’t run the Elevators play for Speights.
#76ers coach Brett Brown: "You could feel (@Mospeights16) had a rhythm. The crowd was encouraging him to continue on." #Roaracle #Warriors

Lee said Speights’s performance was “like being at a great rock concert…the moves/creativity”. Speights all smiles on TV, postgame.
I wish IG did 20-sec clips rather than 15. D.Lee's entire quote re Mo: "…the creativity — not so much the passing but the shooting" LMAO!

Let’s not forget the fact that Speights also had 3 blocked shots! Also, here’s his shot chart.
Nice graphic edits of Speights.
#Warriors held #76ers to 36.7% field goal shooting, the 19th time they've held an opponent under 40%, 2nd-most times in the #NBA.
