Last Time Out:

Warriors defeated Lakers 120-105 at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday

Keys to the Game:

The Warriors new offense has looked great in their first two match-ups of preseason, including a 120-105 win over the Lakers just three days ago. Klay Thompson has been the standout performer, averaging 22.5 points per game.

Last time out against the Lakers, Klay Thompson received strong praise from Kobe Bryant, who scored 15 points of his own, after showcasing his entire arsenal of offensive skills en route to 25 points, including 20 in the first half.

Curry added 20 points of his own in the win.

Thompson and Curry have looked like they didn’t miss a beat this off-season after representing the USA in the FIBA World Cup. Both players played key roles in leading the USA to the Gold Medal in Spain.

As a team, the Warriors have totaled 232 points in wins against the Clippers and Lakers, showcasing the kind of offensive potential displayed early in the 2013 season.

Still, the Warriors offense isn’t regular season ready just yet, and will need to continue to be fine tuned as the preseason moves forward.

Despite a new location, the match-ups will for the most part remain the same. The Warriors will need to keep the Lakers bigs off the offensive glass, and attack the rim from the top of the key to earn easy points against the Lakers’ lackluster rim protection.
