Welp…this is a new one.
Early on during Tuesday night’s marathon Game One, FOX cameras zoomed in on Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez’s right hand and, they might have discovered something they weren’t expecting.

In case you weren’t paying attention…social media was. Within minutes, the topic went from speculating whether or not Edinson Volquez knew his dad was dead to whether or not that was pine tar (or something else nefarious) on Perez’s right shinguard. One of the first to jump on board and call him out…none other than Curt Schilling.
Salvadore Perez has pine tar on right shin guard! Ha, hilarious. That way your pitcher doesn’t have to wear it! #sneaky — Curt Schilling (@gehrig38) October 28, 2015

Salvador Perez keeps reaching for that pine tar on his right side of his right shinguard — Cody Hallman (@C_Hallman37) October 28, 2015
Any reason why Perez rubbed his throwing hand fingers on some brown substance on the side of his shin guard… Just sayin #Mets #LGM — MT0227 (@MT_is_ME) October 28, 2015
Not sure how legal all that pine tar on Salvadore Perez’s shinguard is… — Ryan Powers (@RPowers37) October 28, 2015

Are we ever going to talk about the pine tar Salvador Perez was touching on his leg? Or has MLB come to flat-out accept cheating?

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsSo, what do you think? Was the Royals catcher up to something or was that brown patch just dirt?!?
