Sacramento Kings rookie Ben McLemore is schedule to take part in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday evening in New Orleans. We have seen an array of dunks from the 21-year old wing during his first season in the league and a few near misses as well. The high flier has been working with former dunk contest winner and current Kings assistant coach Dee Brown in an attempt to perfect the art of the dunk.
This won’t be the first time McLemore has participated in a dunking exposition. While in high school, the former Oak Hill Academy star put on a show at the Iolani Classic in Honolulu Hawaii in December of 2010. McLemore took home first place in the contest and it didn’t even look close.
Footage of his first dunk comes at the 5:35 mark after a few misses. And at the 11:12 mark, he pulls off an incredible windmill off the bounce.
