Tonight, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will take the floor for the last time donning the purple and gold. Best believe, the tributes at tonight’s game will be classic and send the Black Mamba out the right way.
But before we can look forward to Bryant’s last game. He decided to say goodbye to his haters in an excellent video done by Nike. We know Lakers fans love him, but over his career, Bryant has broken the hearts of many NBA fans making him out to be the villain. Hence, why he call him the Black Mamba.
In this farewell video, Knicks president and former Lakers coach Phil Jackson makes an appearance, along with Clippers forward Paul Pierce and former Trailblazers forward Rasheed Wallace. Pierce and Wallace know about the heartbreak Bryant put them through all too well.
In 2010, Bryant defeated Pierce’s Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA Finals to win his fifth championship ring. Then when it came to Wallace, his Portland Trailblazers could never get past Bryant in the early 2000’s. Wallace eventually got his ring with Detroit but Bryant was always a thorn in his side.
Check out the video below of Kobe saying goodbye to his haters in this musical extravaganza.
