You can see the relief and joy on Ryan Anderson‘s face. The Sacramento Kings, a team the 25-year-old NBA veteran grew up idolizing, are staying in the place they’ve called home for the last 28 years.
Anderson has never suited in a Kings uniform in his five seasons in the league. But as a native of El Dorado Hills and former standout at Oak Ridge High, he’s received his fair share of questions about the Kings’ future in the capital city over the last three years.
“I’m just glad that there’s no more lingering,” Anderson said, referencing the will-they-or-won’t-they situation that Kings fans no longer have to deal with these days.
