WATCH: Sam Dekker continues to tear it up in NBA Summer League action

Sam Dekker’s rookie season with the Houston Rockets didn’t exactly go as planned, as he played in just three games before a serious back injury cost him most of the rest of the season. Dekker managed to play in 22 games with the Rio Grande Vipers in the D-League and averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and shot 41.8 percent from the field.

His season ended with back surgery though and some weren’t sure how he’d fit in to the Rockets plans for 2016-17. So far he’s had an emphatic answer to that in his two games in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

On Sunday he put up 19 points and showcased plenty of ability on and off the ball in a win over the Sacramento Kings’ entrant in the Summer League. You can see the best of Dekker’s game here:
